Listeria spp. Assay Validation

Internal AOAC-style validation results for the SpectacularOne Listeria spp. Detection System. Built for enterprise scale. Backed by lab-grade performance.

Notice

The SpectacularOne system is currently undergoing AOAC PTM validation (Est. Q1 2026).

The results shown below are from internal AOAC-style performance studies conducted to showcase how our system was evaluated.

Once peer-reviewed publications become available, they will be displayed here.

Overview

The SpectacularOne Listeria spp. Detection System was evaluated using internal AOAC-style validation protocols across inclusivity, exclusivity, time-to-result (TTR), and fractional recovery in surface and environmental matrices.

The final LOD determination is in progress and will include serovar 4b and L. grayi confirmation.

Note: This validation covers Listeria spp. broadly. A dedicated L. monocytogenes (mono) validation is in progress and will be published upon completion.

Executive Summary

  • 17/17 serovars detected (100%)
  • LOD: ~1,860 CFU

Validation Figures

Positive vs Negative Controls

Includes Listeria-positive runs versus Enterococcus and competitor organisms. Exclusivity validated by absence of signal in negative controls.

Conclusion

The SpectacularOne SDS demonstrated internal AOAC-style performance with complete inclusivity, full exclusivity, rapid detection, and successful fractional recovery for Listeria spp. The final LOD determination is underway and will complete the dataset for regulatory review.
