Spectacular Labs Q4 Update
October 2025
TLDR
- SpectacularOne is live with early access customers
- AOAC validation underway for Salmonella and Listeria spp.
- Enterprise POC program launched for large organizations
- Pre-orders open for January delivery
- Cibus Tec Forum attendance in Italy
- Academic research partnerships expanding
Hi there,
As Q3 wraps, we're excited to share meaningful traction and upcoming milestones across our platform. SpectacularOne is now in active use with our early access customers for on-site pathogen detection of Salmonella, Listeria spp., and E. coli O157.
AOAC validation is underway, our enterprise pilot program is open, and pre-orders are now being scheduled for January delivery.
SpectacularOne Is Live
Our field-deployable tabletop device is now being used by early partners for rapid detection and enrichment workflows. It's the first system designed to deliver lab-grade results without lab-grade infrastructure, enabling teams to test on-site, reduce wait times, and eliminate sample transport risks.
Unlike traditional lab methods, SpectacularOne runs fully enclosed enrichment and molecular testing inside a hermetically sealed cartridge. No open handling. No cross-contamination. No delays.

AOAC Certification Underway
We've begun the AOAC PTM process for Salmonella and Listeria spp., with validation targeting completion in Q1 2026. This process is critical to enable compliant integration into QA programs and regulatory workflows. Several customers are already adjusting HACCP protocols in anticipation of production deployment.
Concurrent to AOAC validation, we're running an independent study in partnership with the University of Guelph to verify SpectacularOne's performance under field-relevant conditions. This research will support peer-reviewed publication and give early adopters additional confidence in system performance ahead of formal certification.
e-POC Program Now Open
For large organizations with evaluation needs, we've launched our Enterprise Proof of Concept (e‑POC) program. This structured pathway supports pre-production validation, LIMS integration testing, and phased rollout planning across multiple sites or geographies.
If your team requires technical alignment or workflow customization, the e‑POC program is designed to reduce complexity and accelerate adoption.

Product Update: SpectacularCloud
Our customer advisory group has helped shape the evolution of SpectacularCloud, the portal that powers your entire testing lifecycle.
Recent updates include:
- Real-time results visualization
- Auto-generated CoAs and historical reports
- Deeper analytics and sample tracking
- Roadmap: LIMS integration + role-based access control
SpectacularCloud is built API-first to support custom extensions and seamless interoperability with your QA, compliance, or ERP systems.

Conference: Cibus Tec Forum, Italy
Spectacular Labs will be attending the Cibus Tec Forum, Italy's premier food tech event October 28th & 29th. If you or your team will be on-site, we'd be happy to schedule a meeting and show you a live walkthrough of the system in action.
Pre-Orders for January Delivery Now Open
If you're evaluating faster turnaround times, on-site testing capabilities, or modernization of your microbiological testing stack, pre-orders are now open with flexible delivery and deployment models.
Let us know if you'd like to discuss:
- Expected sample volumes and throughput
- Fit with your current lab and QA workflows
- Pilot vs. production configurations
Academic Research Partnerships
We're currently supporting selected PhD students, labs, and academic institutions with demo devices to power novel research in food safety, molecular diagnostics, and detection method design. If you or someone in your network is working in this space, we'd love to connect.
Thank you for your continued interest, support, and shared belief in a faster, safer, and more connected approach to food safety.
We welcome your feedback or questions.
Best,
